Pistons drop fourth straight, fall to .500 after 122-112 loss to Wizards








The Pistons (22-22) have lost four straight games and fell to 3-8 since point guard Reggie Jackson went down with a severe right ankle sprain.

The Wizards took control after halftime, shooting 80 percent to zoom to an 83-63 lead late in the third quarter on a Marcin Gortat short hook.

John Wall scored 10 points in the quarter after a scoreless first half.

But Kennard’s 16 points in the fourth quarter helped to fuel a comeback that cut the deficit to 104-100 with 3:59 remaining.

But that was as close as the Pistons would get.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards (26-20) with 26 points and Kelly Oubre scored 26 points off the bench.

Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 17 points, but only managed six points after the first quarter.

Andre Drummond finished with 14 points, 21 rebounds, eight assists, two blocked shots and two steals before fouling out.
Strong start

Harris fueled a strong first quarter for the Pistons.

He nailed his first four shots in staking the Pistons to an early 11-5 lead.

Bradley also had a strong opening, scoring nine points as the Pistons led by as much as 15 before settling for a 29-19 lead going into the second quarter.

The Pistons held the Wizards to 33.3 percent shooting and forced five turnovers.
